Therapy and Evaluation
Program Description
Our Behavioral Health Services include psychological assessment and evaluation, diagnostic assessment, and therapy for individuals, teens, couples, and families. Our clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm. Additionally, evening and weekend appointments are available upon request and upon therapist availability. Participants may phone their therapist or other members of the treatment team during regular business hours at 612.617.0191.
Eligibility
An intake (diagnostic assessment) is conducted to identify the participant’s areas of strengths and needs, which is used to develop short and long term treatment goals. There may be instances in which we are unable to meet the identified needs. Referrals to appropriate services are provided in these situations. Please refer to our Behavioral Health Client Handbook for further information regarding therapy services.
Fees
Payment is accepted through health insurance, a third party payer, or self-pay. When paying privately, if unable to pay for services in full, participants may apply for a sliding fee (must provide proof of income). Accepted insurance types include Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Corphealth, General Assistance Medical Care (GAMC), Health Partners, Medica, Medicare, Medical Assistance (MA), Metropolitan Health Plan (MHP), Preferred One, and UCare.

Program Benefits
Psychological assessments provide an accurate picture of the individual’s level of functioning, diagnostic symptoms, and recommended areas for growth. Therapists work with participants to achieve personal goals, manage or reduce diagnostic symptoms, and improve overall level of life satisfaction. On-site childcare in our Child Development Center is available during therapy and evaluation sessions for a nominal fee.
Description of Staff Specialties
Staff therapists have a range of special focus and expertise, including but not limited to psychological testing and assessment, anxiety, trauma, depression, personality disorders, family issues, transitional periods and domestic discord. Our therapists are Licensed Mental Health Professionals, Master’s-Level professionals, and practicum students participating in Master’s or Doctoral programs. Meet the therapists!
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Program Description
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is a 16-20 week program designed to increase knowledge of parent-child relationship building, positive child guidance, and discipline skills. PCIT is most effective for children ages 2-7. However, the program can be modified for children outside this age range. This program is appropriate for families who have experienced abuse and neglect, parent-child disruption or relationship difficulties due to separation or trauma, and for children exhibiting behavioral concerns.
Eligibility
Participant families must be comprised of at least one parent and one child. Families may be referred from outside agencies, county programs, or self-referred. An intake is conducted to identify areas of strengths and needs to develop long and short term treatment goals. There may be instances in which we are unable to meet the identified needs. Referrals to appropriate services will be provided in these situations.
Fees
$45.00/hour for Parent Session
$65.00/hour for Parent-Child Session (can occur with more than one child)
$20.00 additional transportation fee for in-home service per session

Program Benefits
PCIT is a therapeutic approach to re-establishing a healthy parent-child relationship. Attainable and appropriate recommendations provide participants the opportunity to improve the parent-child relationship, reduce the risk for abuse and neglect, and increase the parent’s ability to effectively and safely parent his/her child.

PCIT therapists are Licensed Mental Health Professionals, Master’s-Level professionals and practicum students participating in Master’s programs.
Parenting Assessments
Program Description
The purpose of a Parenting Assessment (PA) is to evaluate the parent’s ability to provide a safe and stable environment that is free from abuse and neglect. Recommendations are based on the parent’s strengths and areas of concern.
Eligibility
Clients must be parents of children age birth to 18 years seeking evaluation of parenting skills and recommendations. Insurance does not cover the cost of a PA. Participants may be referred from an outside source (i.e. county or community-based agency) or be self-referred.
