May 17th Annual Fundraising Event

Genesis II PhotoAt the May 17th Annual Fundraising Event, Genesis II presented the Community Partner of the Year Award to the Hugh J. Andersen Foundation. Hugh J. Andersen Foundation and its Next Generation Fund has donated over $100,000 to Genesis II over the past 9 years, providing ongoing, critical, and consistent support to Genesis II’s core operations. In addition to this financial support, foundation staff have met frequently with Genesis II leaders, offering insights into the foundation and the funding community.


Genesis II PhotoKen Traft received the Volunteer of the Year Award. Ken got his masters degree in counseling and finished his internship over eight years ago. He has been volunteering helping families ever since. Last year, he joined the Genesis II team as a volunteer in home parent educator. Ken is counted on to take on our more complex cases and often mentors new interns.
